Joyful Table Church was founded by Deena and Michael McDowell.  Deena is from West Palm Beach Florida and was a physical therapist assistant for thirty-one years.  She now works as a medical coder and caregiver.  Michael is a Charlotte, NC native and has worked as a painting contractor for forty years.  They have been married for thirty-one years and live in Mint Hill, NC.  They have a son and a daughter:  Joseph who is twenty-six and Deveny who is twenty-three.  Deena and Michael have been involved in disability ministry for fifteen years with Joni and Friends and Carmel Baptist Church.  They enjoy traveling, camping, and serving and spending time with their friends.  They dislike posing for “about” pictures.
